Wife and I have a big decision to make and I was hoping for a little help. We can either move back to South Dakota where we have lived before, know the makeup, economy, etc or we can stay closer to family down south. If we stayed down south we are interested in Northern Arkansas,Tn above 1-40 and SW Va. I am looking for information on how the economy in general is doing in each of these areas? Is hiring going strong or is the economy in the dumps? Also interested in cost of living in each of the 3. Any other information you want to include then please do. More information the better.
Nashville is booming and one of the Top 10 metro areas in terms of the overall economy (just behind Seattle). It's fairly affordable, has a low unemployment rate (5%) and there's no state income tax.
Thank you for that information,we pretty much marked off Eastern Tn last night but will take a look at Nashville area.
