If you had the chance to move to either Denver, Portland, Los Angeles or San Diego which would you choose and why? Considering cost of living isn't an issue and I'm not looking to buy a home. Please be specific

Portland or San Francisco are the easy choices for me. Although cost of living in San Fran is high, the city has a vibe that other cities in California do not possess, acceptance and openmindedness as well as good public transportation. The weather is the best there too. Portland is basically the same as San Fran, but smaller. Denver is pretty good but snowy and the mtns there are awesome. LA and SD are overpriced and overrated places full of pollution and are mindnumbingly suburban in nature and boring.

I want a mansion up in the Hollywood Hills, so I choose LA. Then Denver would be next.

San Diego has too many old folks. San Francisco is disgustingly overrated, and I'm not quite sure about Portland.

For me: Denver(already here), Seattle, San Diego., LA.

This is based on people, crime, and peace of mind.

Me: 1-Los Angeles, 2-San Diego, 3-Portland, then 4-Denver.

1- Love L.A., so it'd be my number one choice anytime
2- I think San Diego is overrated IMO, and has nothing special, but at least its got nice weather and beaches.
3 & 4 I've never been to, but I listed Portland before Denver because its closer to the coast and I wouldnt like to live so far away from the ocean.

I think I would choose Portland first. It is close to the water and mountains. After that, probably LA or San Diego for the same reasons. I really like Denver but I would never want to live there. It is to far away from anything and I am not to keen on eastern Colorado nor the mountains near it. I prefer the greener mountains of the Pacific northwest.

Moved to Charlotte from Los Angeles.

I LOVE LA. There is always something to do. Lots of museums, the beach, amusement parks, coastal drives, skiing in the winter, boating in the summer, hiking in the canyons, sighseeing, and all sorts of other activities. You cannot get bored in LA!

You didn't mention Seattle, but that would be #2 for me. I went to college for 4 years in Seattle and loved it. It is an absolutely gorgeous city. Again, lots to do. Lots of history, sights, coffee!!!!, skiing, boating, walking, hiking, etc.....

Portland would be #3 for me probably. It has really become a great place in the last 15 years or so. Very liberal city with all sorts of people from all kinds of walks of life.

San Diego is nice to visit, but I really have never had a desire to live there.

Denver is ok. We looked into moving there, but it just wasn't for us.

Of the 4, Denver is the clear winner for me. 4 seasons, beautiful scenery and centrally located in the country. The other 3 I would not even consider.
