Decent advice, although I don't think all of these apply to everyone.

There should have been something about Career/Employment advancement opportunies in there.

Also Schools, the chump missed that one.

Ease of Walking and Biking is not a CRUCIAL factor imo.

You spelled opportunities wrong, bud. Also, Career/Employment falls under Economy.

Your Home Base should offer opportunity for anyone willing to work hard. On the contrary, your Home Base should not be a mecca for welfare recipients, bums, and other such lowlifes.
But education has been added to the list - you can certainly use some.

Good point. I think it plays a factor, but it can probably fall under transportation. Thanks.

Going by those factors, right where Im at is basically perfect.
Great vibe, great amenities within walking distance, abundant nightlife, lots of culture, love of art and music, outstanding food, great weather, just...perfect.

Most of the US South doesn't attract me, but Lafayette is one of those cities that looks appealing. Kinda reminds me of Savannah, GA.

That was an awesome article man thanks for sharing. I am picked Nashville to be my city of choice, I got a job in the city after I finish graduate school here. Nashville just feels like home to me my gf's family is from the city and the citizens are super friendly, the economy is really good and the weather is really nice except in the summer. People tell me why are you moving to Nashville nothing is special about the place, I tell them it just feels like home and its a very livable city and close to a lot of other cities as well as TN borders 8 states, good home base to explore a lot of the country. Thanks for the article then, this writer nailed it.. I loved his points so true.

Maybe not for you. But as someone that walks and bikes a lot, it would be in the top 3 factors.
