I guess you could say somewhere in Iowa would be a pretty good bet (far from the Mississippi) ... I mean this state is basically a large veggie garden outside of the cities/towns when you think about it.
I think it's strange people are moving back and they are renovating the city. I mean, I understand that people are attached to home, and some may really love the city... but aren't they kind of asking for the same thing to happen again? ... Well I guess they're going at it with a "you only live life once" approach, and "better live where you're happy and not spend time worrying"
Yep. I was under the impression they were going to fix the "problem" not just repair it. According to Bushy, he stated many times the cities' levee system would be completely overhauled. Who knows, maybe they are doing that.
I realize that, I just found the joke innapropriate-not that big of a deal. Keep in mind I find hardly any jokes off limits. Would you joke about the attacks on 9/11?
Its a free country so you can post whatever, but Im also entitled to speak out against something.
OH WHATEVER! My old neighborhood was under water four months ago and our basements all flooded, and we all joked about it even though people lost thousands of dollars. My friends from new orleans all joke about it in a kind hearted way, and some of their families lost homes. Its not 9/11, it was a natural disaster waiting to happen, nowhere near the scale and loss of life of the tsunami. They make jokes in movies about earthquakes and tornadoes, why is that not offensive? Lighten up.
I find YOU inappropriate and your easily being offended (even though ur not from new orleans im assuming yet still offened?) offensive. Lighten up dude.

I'm sorry but the Mississippi river makes a border in Iowa. If this is a trick question, then perhaps a religious city outside the US ?
