No too expensive, too many liberals and too dry in the warmer areas. I think Texas offers the best quality of life because of the economic growth.

But with bad weather (winter cold snaps, and too humid in summer) which is a deal breaker for me

What's quality of life exactly ?

Weather
Scenery
Beaches
Desert

If that's the question than yeah.

But if we're talking excitement and energy I'll take NYC over anywhere in the world

Quality of Life is the: ability to make money and spend that money at reasonable prices.

That's not everything to everyone though. I could never move to the Midwest or the south just because things are dirt cheap. I value good weather and good geography and am willing to pay the premium to get it, which is why I have busted my a$$ to move up in my career and make myself more valuable so I can get a living wage in California.

I am looking forward to moving out of coastal California and to the Midwest or the South because coastal California is just too crowded! The only advantage to California is the early start of Monday night football.

If you're a man, then it offers the WORST quality of life (SOURCE: me...I have lived on the West Coast, East Coast, and Midwest):
