Doylestown is one of my favorite towns in the Philadelphia area. It has a large downtown for a small city and lots of historical buildings. Here's a shot of part of the downtown.

Another one I love is New Hope, Pennsylvania. Right on the Delaware River. Gorgeous!

Even their Dunkin Donuts is in an historic building!

One last one. The town of Media, PA, also outside of Phila. I grew up right near here. If I remember correctly, their slogan was, "Media - Everyone's Hometown" or something like that.

My old neighborhood! I went to College in Riverdale and the joke used to be we were the least expensive private school out of the three in the neighborhood-yet the other two-Fieldston and Horace Mann were Grade/High Schools, not Colleges. Very wealthy area.

Here is my neighborhood in Philly, Germantown:

Chestnut Hill is probably most like Fieldston in Riverdale though. Street photos don't do it justice.

Wow, those houses on Tolpehocken St. are gorgeous! And the ones in East Falls are cute, too. There are so many beautiful and historic neighborhoods in and around Philadelphia!

Agreed! A lot of history and wealth-the very first house on Tulpehocken street in Germantown was built for the Queen of Spain.

Historic downtown Charleston is probably the most beautiful in america that I have seen, but north charleston is more like suburbia in america from my experience but I rarely went to north Charleston. No need to really. Charleston is sort of like europe where you have might have gorgeous architecture and a historical center surrounded by modern architecture in the suburbs

you can pretty much follow street view on this street south battery and so many beautiful houses and alleyways and courtyards. The best thing about charleston is architecture and weather and food too, ton of palms and some nice citrus and right on the water

This is only about ten minutes from my house. I live in a more suburban area now though - further out from the center of town.

Here's another neighborhood I used to live in, in Tyler:

We got a lot of Northern Catalpas here in Denton. Those are my favourite trees. Big beautiful leaves and these dangly pods.
