Depends on the field but tech-related sectors tend to pay more in Raleigh.

No plans on heading east either. The semi truck pretty much took me everywhere and gave me this habit of marking the map of the country with "Go/No-Go" zones.
DC, Austin, Atlanta, they're all nice places to visit, but the attitudes I'm getting from this forum tell me to just stay inside and watch them on TV or something.
