After last night's occurrences for me it's easily tornadoes. Little to no warning and they come out of out of nowhere and happen at a frequency where you would worry a lot, unlike earthquakes for example.
I voted for Tornados. I grew up near the Gulf and know hurricanes cause horrific damage but they should never kill you if you have good sense in this day and age....when they're coming at you and it's a level 4 or 5, leave. Tornados and earthquakes can't be predicted on time so that's the ones that I fear more.
Mt. Rainier is 60 miles SW and listed as decade Volcano’s. They are the 16 Volcano’s most likely to cause serious damage to populated areas due to their proximity and violent eruptions

I live in Seattle. Rainier isn't a danger to the core city. It could cause a mudflow on a river that ends up in Tacoma.
Even a sideways blast like St. Helens would only get a fraction of the way here.
Hurricanes seem to maximize frequency + damage. Blizzards and (sometimes) flooding aren't that big a deal, and the others are pretty rare occurrences in any given place.
More people die every year from cold weather storms than hurricanes and tornados combined.
Using NOAA's data, the 15-year period studied would have an average annual death toll of about 38. But that average death toll jumps to about 923 when the study's criteria are adjusted to include car and plane crashes that were indirectly attributed to a winter storm. https://weather.com/storms/winter/ne...ms-more-deaths
Winter storms pretty much happen every year, hurricanes especially in any particular area happen perhaps once in a generation.
Flooding, as Houston has had recently, and the flooding in Nebraska, is devastating. Nothing on that list is good. Seattle, according to a poster, doesn't have to worry about a volcano, but it certainly does need to worry about an earthquake.
Tornadoes scare me the most. Hurricanes you know when they're coming, tornadoes just come out of no where and they are so unpredictable. I can never figure out why people would purposely buy a house in tornadoes alley. No way, no how would I live there.

If the study is accurate (and I believe it is ) over 900 people "every" year on average die due to cold weather storms, that's a huge number. I would personally rather be flooded by a couple feet of slow rising water than be killed in a snow storm. But that just me....
Of course all natural disasters are bad but my Point is, if your trying to avoid death by natural disaster Hurricanes and tornados are less likely to kill you than a blizzard is.
