Even though we're the nation's sixth-most-populous state, I've noticed that Pennsylvania continues to get very little recognition not only on this forum but also on a national scale. Nevertheless our state has some awesome cities that are all unique for one reason or another. From the teeming metropolis that is Philadelphia to the beautiful Capitol rotunda in Harrisburg to the Lake Erie shoreline in Erie to the gorgeous Victorian-era architecture in Scranton, I personally love the Keystone State and plan to raise my family here in the future.

What is/are your favorite city/cities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and why?

I have never thought Pennsylvania got any more or less attention than any other state in the union. I don't get where that attitude comes from. Having said that, the only places I have been to are Pittsburgh and Erie. I thought Pittsburgh was pretty; PNC Park has to be one of the best MLB parks. I really want to visit Philly. That will be my next big trip some day.

I like Hanover! York is neat but I didn't vote for it.

Really, you included Chester? Is that where you buy your crack? If so, totally understandable.

And is there a reason why certain ones are missing from your poll?

Definitely Philadelphia. It's so lively and it's got some of the richest history of America.

How many people that voted actually been to all of those towns to compare?

I'v been through most states, and know PA the most. But I never been through every one of these towns.

Some are nice, some are depressing.

I have to agree with SWB about Pennsylvania not getting the attention it deserves. I also agree that our state has some of the best cities and small towns in the country. Our economy is relatively strong and stable. But the economic climate could stand a booster shot.

I've only been to a small handful of those. Most of the ones I'd been to I liked despite some economic issues.
