University Heights is an enclave within Iowa City, Iowa. It was a suburb built by land developers in the 1920's that was totally surrounded by Iowa City in the 1960's. About 1,000 people live there. (It's the tiny little red dot in the illustration below.)

Bratenahl, Ohio is completely surrounded by Cleveland and Lake Erie.
