Charleston, West Virginia (my home town).

Capital of the state. City population roughly 53,000 and metro approximately 300,000. Sits in the Kanawha valley on the Kanawha River (pronounced Kan-naw-wa - Cherokee word), which flows into the Ohio river about 45 miles West.

(old postcard scan, but the city hasn't changed much since this shot was done)...
