Ok California has population that's about it if any other state got into fight with them they would have to take away energy and food they would be in poverty then if they attacked nd could nuke all major cites and they would be done California is not that powerful of a state so why does everyone think so
Texas is obviously first. Texas controls the content of the school books in most states, that future members of Congress will have been brainwashed from.
Florida, for the time being, is second, because it will be the swing state in any close presidential election. In other words, your vote for president will be meaningless, unless you live in Florida.

Cause they got Hollywood, lots of people and pretty weather lol. California definitely has some power but there not the most powerful state.
Wouldn't it be Md and Va? I mean we mine as well lump DC in with them and DC makes all the rules so I guess they're the most powerful.
LOL @ some of your states on this lists for football? Nebraska and Oklahoma does not belong on this list. Where is Ohio, Georgia, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania? All have much more talent than Nebraska and Oklahoma.
Big 12 championship, please.
Oops, I just realized that post was 2 years old. Oh well.
I agree with Washington being part of the top 10. They have many corporations based in Seattle and a lot of money is flowing in that economy.
