There was a home run that was hit into a different state in the major leagues. Ernie Lombardi hit a homer in Braves Field in Boston, that bounced into a railroad car outside the stadium, and the ball was found by a brakeman in Providence, Rhode Island.

If a player for the Cincinnati Reds hits a homer to right field that clears the stadium roof, if it bounces a hundred feet or so beyond the roof line and rolls into the Ohio River, it will be in Kentucky. The north river bank of the Ohio is the state line, with the river entirely in Kentucky. It would take a 600 foot home run to reach Kentucky on the fly, and the reputed record in the major leagues is 576 feet.
