I'd pick the Golden Gate bridge.

THere is a future greatest bridge. THe future I-70 bridge over the Mississippi River in St. Louis. It will be the among the largest cable spans in the world. It's pictured here. It will be just north of downtown. the remaining parts of I-70 to the Poplar Street Bridge, the second bridge behind the MLK, second from the furthest back, that will become part of an extended Interstate 44.

I dunno if it's the greatest, but it's fun to drive across the Y-bridge in Zanesville, Ohio. First built in 1814; the most recent built in 1984. It crosses the confluence of the Licking and Muskingum rivers. Also awfully cool to see it from the air.

I like the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel - it's cool to see the bridge "disappear" into the water.

The Golden Gate is awesomely beautiful though.

Golden Gate Bridge would be my favorite, too. You(se) guys are gonna laugh, but the Pulaski Skyway has a sort of gritty, industrial beauty as viewed from the New Jersey Turnpike at certain hours of the day...

Ya know what they call the Frances Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore at rush hour, don'tcha? The "Car-Bangled Spanner"...

Golden Gate most beautiful, Brooklyn most powerful. Both are magnificent!

They might not quite top the golden gate, but I tend to vote on underdogs....I nominate these two:

The Arthur Ravenel Bridge in Charleston, SC (see picture)

Arthur J Ravenell Bridge pictures from south carolina photos on webshots

& in Tampa, FL, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (see picture)
