Sure, local news stations probably use this piece of "news" for views, but even the BBC has caught on

BBC News - US election: Unhappy Americans ask to secede from US

You all have seen it. You all have read it. What do you think? As it turns out, Georgia signed twice. I can't believe it's come to even considering succeeding from the Union. That's a lot of unhappiness. Meanwhile, we see local governments turning more red.

The likeliness of succesion is like winning the lottery. I highly doubt it'll happen, but the White House has promised response to Texas where support is greatest.

For those of us who are in tune with history, it's pretty ironic that Texas of all states wants to succeed..and that the possible succession has reached the tipping point with a multiracial President.

I hope they do. Atlanta itself will probably resist and be aided by the US. This might actually help us out and also help by getting rid of the undesirables in the state house here and in SC.

Nathan Deal as President?

It's an interesting notion though, succession. It speaks words about the 2012 election. This will definitely be in the history books.

I hope we all "succeed" from the Union.

And the Civil War was just a malapropism by the South.

In the case of Texas, the state is already 55% minority. In 2014 it will be majority hispanic. Are they planning to secede and re-join Mexico?

I wonder if most of the people in the Deep Southern States know they get more money from the government than every dollar they put back in.

I guess the South will Rise again stuff isn't too far off.
