Default CCT To MARTA Possible? (Live In Smyrna, Work In Alpharetta).......

Hi! I was wondering is there a way I can find out how to get from Windy Hill Rd. in Smyrna (where Windy Hill/Cobb Pkwy meet) to A MARTA Bus or Train to Alpharetta?

I work in Alpharetta right off of North Point Dr. and MARTA #128 stops right in front of my job. I stay off of Windy Hill Rd. & Cobb Pkwy and was wondering if anybody had an idea to what CCT Bus I would need to take to either get to the MARTA Train or a MARTA Bus that will eventually lead me to Route #128?

^You need to take the CCT #10 (I think that's the #) to Arts Center Station in Midtown, and then transfer to a North Springs train.

It is certainly doable, but I can imagine it would take over an hour each way.

^Nope. You'll pull into the station on the upper (bus) level, then head down a couple of levels to the train platform. Just follow the crowds - it's easy once you get the hang of it.

Just make sure you board a North Springs - not a Doraville train, Northbound. At the end of the line in North Springs, you pick up the #128.

It's possible.. but very time consuming.
The CCT 10 bus runs south to Arts Center station... from there you can access MARTA..then getting to Alpharetta involves taking a train north to North Springs station and boarding a bus to Alpharetta.. you are talking about a 2hr+ commute each way, easy.. I'd hate to have that as a daily commute on a regular basis.

Thanks!

After visiting the website, I see I need to do the following.......

1. CCT#10 to Arts Center in Midtown
2. Board North Springs Train (Stop "N4")
3. Get off at North Springs (Stop "N11")
4. Board MARTA Bus Route #140
5. Get off at my stop on N. Point Dr.

Okay, I'm good!

Great - I'm glad it works out.

North Springs is the end of the line, so that should be very easy. Let us know if everything went smoothly, if you can.

Oh heavens no sir, this is just until I get 2 more paychecks and I only work 3 days out of the week. I'll have my car fixed my next paycheck but I want to save up 2 just in case.

I'd rather commute for 2 hrs then get fired in this economy, lol........

You have all been very helpful.......

Oh, one other suggestion - look into getting a Breeze card. If you plan on doing this commute, it will prove invaluable.

Plenty of info on the MARTA site to explain how it all works.

Good luck!
