I fully respect Canada and have admired their military history, especially their specialized prowess as snipers. There is no question that a country with as small a population as Canada depends upon sheltering alliances for military viability. As does just about every small country in the world. Unless you want to be in Estonia's position vis a vis the USSR in 1941 and/or 1942.

He didn't say only gun laws. There is no question that Canada and other English-speaking countries look to each other when considering legislation. Why do U.S. politicians tout Canadian medical insurance and prescription prices?
