There as a story recently about a teacher that was fired because she had pictures on social media of her at a legal MJ farm. There have been other stories about people terminated because they called in sick and then posted pictures on social media showing them on vacation.

Right now, our culture is at a cross roads. It used to be that uneducated, bigoted people could just stay under the radar. Now with cell phones, people are recorded all the time and that video gets shared around the world in hours. One incident could haunt someone for the rest of their life.
Do people not realize, on FB and other social media, you can restrict what posts certain people get to see? I think maybe some of these people do not know this.

Some people want true diversity. Finding a good balanced team that works well together. Generally speaking, I think these people are able to see the value of a diverse workforce without requiring any further prodding.

There's other tribal groups as well. These people are inherently seeking preference in law-making not seeking a diverse community of equality, but for either some perceived payback of the past or purely seeking to put their own racial/tribal preferences ahead.

It amazes me at how openly and thoroughly many people in this area still like to believe in a fairy tale that the White Man is holding them down. If they would simply look around they'd see there are no White Men around save the old retirees that aren't dead yet. More intrusive searches are already done, but the bad thing is they are done haphazardly as people seek alignment with their little thought tribe.

This is America. You're either American of your not. We need to do away with race as a thing that's even looked at.

It is more important for families to raise their children to speak well, value education, and learn business skills and leadership, than to try and rewire (or avoid) inclinations of other people to stereotype. There are many black doctors and engineers who did not need special bureaucratic help to gain employment and respect.
