For a man who hates racism.....I find this to be a very racist remark. Is this a way to start out a new presidency? Obama thinks we should all be color blind and then lets a racist give the benediction. Nice, real nice.

I'm a pretty white bread guy and I didn't take offense at it. In fact we all had a bit of a chuckle about it. No worse than allowing a bigot like that fat slob from Orange County open his yap.

So what? Anything said today doesn't mean a single thing - it was all emotonal rhetoric that was meant to strike heartstrings - just like all last spring and summer, on both sides. What matters is the deals that are going to be cut in the next four years in the back rooms and at the restaurants and bars, nowhere near the halls of Congress or the White House. Anyone who listened to - and believed - today's pompous pontifications and moralizing mendacity deserves whatever surprises they get.
