I thought you meant in the last 50 years. I don't know where Tapai is. Did Russia or China take that over? Try to be a little less angry bash your keyboard more carefully.
You guys are short sighted. No invasion, no take over of anything. When Houston Annexes a smaller Town, which we do all the time, we simply bring them into the fold. They then share in the knowledge that they are now Americans. So what do all good Americans want?? right --Walmart, Target, Disney land, Burger King, McDonald's. Trump Towers. Get the Picture? We as a people spend nothing, but rather give massive tax breaks to Independent corporations to go forth and multiply. The set up Shop everywhere. They put in their own infrastructure just as the do here. They hire all the local people that would normally come here, and put them all to work. They set up their own security force, their own maintenance force. They pay for all the construction costs. Set the whole place up as the "tourist attraction of the World". We kick back and soon have a great a Caribbean Paradise that we can drive to, with no problems. The bucks will soon flow in, And it will be Ours. Sweet, right??
Seems the Mexican people are having a hard time from what I read. Plus so many feel they must come here just to make a living, when they have a Country with so many natural resources. It seems their Gubment has always been corrupt, and the Citizens are helpless to do anything to correct it. So for the good of the Mexican People, should we Annex Mexico, and make it our 51st State? My Mexican Fiends think is a great idea.
That last sentence says everything we need to know.

Ah yes, that makes everything much clearer. You weren't being serious when you started this thread; you just wanted to sit back and watch everyone else argue as though you'd created a real debate, right? I'm inspired to ask this question because you don't seem to be drawing much of a distinction between a suburb of Houston and a sovereign nation.
Nah, the military contractors make a lot more money from annexing Iraq and Afghanistan with even more to be made in Pakistan, India and the rest of Pipelineistan.
Maybe we should just ask Mexico for a plebiscite and see what the Mexicans want. Would they be willing to trade a corrupt government for a corrupt Wal-mart? Free credit cards? Rich Americans to rip off? Probably, but who knows?
We could call the new country, with the capital moved to Dallas, the United States of North America or the newer New Mexico but only if we annexed Canada as well. That might be more difficult but would finally clear the way for the North American Water and Power project. Just imagine combining Mexico’s population with Canada’s natural resources all under Wall Street of Dallas’s management.
Ps Houston isn't a soverign nation? They act like they are.

the only differences are just lines on a map---which is why the Panama canal would be a great border. we could if need be, shut it down, and fill it with sharks. Swim that, sucka.
