I am looking at buying a home in Stokesdale, Rockingham County just north of the Guilford county line. The house is just west of Highway 68

I know that taxes are lover in Rockingham County, this is an advantage. Are there any disadvantages to being in Rockingham County?

Schools? What schools do they go to? Guilford or Rockingham County? Are the schools good?
Services?
??????

Would like to hear from people living in the area.

Hey there - I would check out ncreportcards.org if you're looking for information on schools. Rockingham county schools don't really have the greatest reputation, so you would be better off paying the higher taxes and living in the guilford side of Stokesdale. I believe the schools your l/o would attend would be Stokesdale elementary, Northwest Middle, and Northwest high. I've heard positive things about all of the Northwest Guilford schools.
