I got a great teaching job which is in Thomasville area. I don't have to live right in the area but would like to have access to stores, etc. Many of the teachers in my school live in High Point, Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Anyone on here who has some good areas for me to look at for living on my own? I don't want to live more then 25-30 minutes away from the school.

If you rather you can PM me as well.

Thanks all in advance for your help!

I would suggest either N. High Point or the Archdale-Trinity area. Zips 27265, 27263, 27370.

My family will be moving to N.C. in the near future and we were looking in the Mooresville area, is that nice? Or the surrounding area? Any info would be welcomed. But we are dead set on N.C. We live in California, the High Desert, and it is awful here, the crime is bad. We live on an acre which is nice, but we are ready to get out and if we have to get a smaller lot, then we will. It seems so beautiful there and we want a change! Plus we are NASCAR nuts.... Karen

Do you already have jobs lined up that would need you to live close to Mooresville. What kind of price range for housing are you looking for?.. The tax base and housing cost are higher the closer you get to Charlotte.... If not tied down to the area, there are many nice towns and neighborhoods in the Piedmont area of NC.

I too am moving out of Cali from the old IE. Can't stand the smog, traffic, people. I am looking at The Clemmons/Lewisville area. I also looked at Mooresville. Just depends on how much water/lakes you want to be by. We should be in touch!
