Help!! I live in the Burlington North Carolina Area and I am looking for a stylist that does the Dominican Wrap. I used to get my hair done like that all the time and now can't find anybody around here that does it. If anybody knows of anyone, please let me know! Thank you!
if your hair is straight already a Dominican wrap may not be for you. But for those of us with healthy hair my experience was straight hair with minimal direct heat. Which last longer. then you must treat your hair with deep conditioners as well if you neglect your hair of cause it will become dry. Evwery thing is not for every body. Snookey62
My hair is natural, no relaxer, some highlights. I have been going to this lady named April at Divahz & Co. on High Point Rd. She used to do my hair a couple of years ago. I get a process called a silkwrap where my hair is shampooed, conditioned, blowdried, flat ironed. My hair is usually straighter than most relaxed girls I see when she's finished, but some process that she does somewhere along the way have gotten rid of my split ends, she says that she seals them. I don't know, but my hair stopped breaking off, my thinned temple area has returned and my hair is at least 16 inches long (2 years later), my hair is shiny, healthy, soft, doesn't revert and no oily feel to it. It lasts for 3 weeks at a time and whenever I want to go back to my afro or natural curls, all I gotta do is wash it. I have had some others attempt to get my hair like this and they just couldn't get it right. She works with relaxed and even caucasian hair and she is off da chain. She does Dominican blowouts too, but I never have seen her burn anyone or use excessive heat. You gotta give her a call, you might be very impressed with her work. (336)261-4835
