How anybody could do something like this is beyond me: Police: Dog Pinned Down, Set On Fire - Greenville News Story - WYFF Greenville Some people just deserve to be wiped off the face of the Earth for good. If they find whoever did this I think the person should be chained inside a dog house and set on fire just to see how it feels. It would be justice and save the taxpayers from paying for another idiot in prison.

So true people are sick!! Hate too even call the person that did this a person at all. More like a monster. Lets hope they catch them before they do this too a child or someone who is not strong enough to defend themselves.

You both are talking about true justice, as clearly defined in Deuteronomy 19:21 (NET). "You must not show pity; the principle will be a life for a life..."

I can't imagine the thought process that would allow anyone with any kind of conscience to do something that purely evil.

I read this today and it not made me sick but angered me as well.

As the owner of a beautiful black Lab, that is basically my child, I'd do anything to protect her. She is such a major part of my life, my mind simply cannot comprehend how someone could do this to a dog.

The fact that this guy could do such a thing.....he should receive the same treatment he gave the dog. He is obviously not even up to the intelligence level of an animal.

I read the title of the article and couldn't even bring myself to read the whole article- the thought just breaks my heart. We have 3 dogs, and I can't imagine how anyone could do such thing to an innocent animal.

While this was a horrendous act by someone who's obviously got some serious issues and I don't condone it at all, I think you're taking that scripture out of context as it is human life that's being referred to. The relevant scripture here (if the dog actually dies) would be Leviticus 24:17-18, 21: "Anyone who takes the life of a human being is to be put to death. Anyone who takes the life of someone’s animal must make restitution—life for life...Whoever kills an animal must make restitution, but whoever kills a human being is to be put to death."

I had not heard about this until one of the children I teach in Awana class prayed for the dog to recover last night. Heinous...awful.....EVIL. He should die a painful death and I'm thinking that someone is probably going to make that happen for him.......
