The door furthest to the left is the storefront for The Greenville Beer Exchange (GBX).

The first floor of the other two buildings may have garage space.

It would be cool if one of these spaces became a brewery like Lexington Ave Brewery where they put in glass garage doors and roll them up on nice days. I feel like Laurens Road is ripe for development right now and will be even more as One is completed.
Just don't mistake Laurens St downtown with Laurens Rd.

As far as I know the base of the residential buildings are garages for the residents, the building to the left of the residential buildings has the Greenville Beer Xchange(retail beer sales and tastings), not sure what is upstairs. Barleys/The Trappe Door(Barleys is pizza and craft beer, The Trappe door is Belgian fine dining) restaurants next to that, the building to the right houses mostly commercial businesses(as previously stated), as well as The Cazbah's(Tapas) downtown restaurant, which faces Mcbee.

The "west tower" is expected to top out in mid-October according to an interview in this WYFF News 4 story:

"The latest tower on West McBee"

When did they change the name of Washington Street?

Is it just a southern thing to say MAC-Bee (as pronounced on the video)? There's no A in there, but I'm not a born southerner, so maybe I just don't get it.

While it is written without an A, "Mc" actually represents "Mac." Longtime Greenville residents usually pronounce McBee Avenue as "MACK-be" Avenue. This tradition very likely has been passed down from the early Scottish inhabitants in the region.

I thought he was referring to how this project isn't located on McBee Street at all. It's located on Main and Washington...

Edit: Nevermind lol.

I call it McBee and most people I know do too but cool history on the name.

Its historically the way McBee pronounced his last name. Greenville natives say MacBee. If you have a problem with it then don't say it. And everyone will know you aren't from Greenville.
