Beckycat that's what I thought but there is no connection fee of any sort included in this bill. Seems crazy high to me so I'll have to figure that out.

You could always call them to get an explanation. See what the previous tenants paid to see if it's comparable. It may also depend where you live and what company serves you. After seeing what others have listed, it seems to vary.

There may be a discount that you didn't qualify for based on a certain level of usage per month. Call them. They have been very helpful whenever I have had to.

It maybe that water is cheaper in Chicago. I can't remember if our bills were cheaper there but it also included refuse so comparison really isn't fair anyway.
