Default wild animals in Spartanburg

What animals do we have that would kill several neighbors cats between 2-3 weeks found the bodies half eaten?

I would think a coyote. They have been known to kill cats and lure dogs to their death.

We moved from florida in Aug. No they are not like they are in Florida. I did not realize they had them here for a month or so. They go dormat during winter. I just started seeing them come out again. Yes, you can see the hills but not horrible. I am very allergic and in florida felt like i had to watch every where I walked. Here I do not.

no they do not fly they are a little red ants and they will bite the crap out of you if you step in the mound or just touch the mound. And they all come out to attack at once. They are called fire ants because the poison when they sting you feels as if you had been burnt. You can read about them if you go here.

some do but they are really not that bad where im so we don't. They have fire ant stuff you can buy at lowes to put on the mounds. Just have to watch where you step when you are outside with no shoes. Or if you are in the garden but you can see where they are at by the little mound they make. They are not really a big deal unless you are allergic too them. Or have little kids that may be crawling on the grass. They just mostly itch for a few mins if you happen to get bit by one.

I will blister up when I get bit by one. Hurts like the dickens. You can see the mounts they are much larger than typical anthills from up north. When you see one plunge a stick into it and watch just how active they are!
