Looking for Doctor recommendations. I was recently approved for Social Security Disability and have Medicare both Parts A and B. Now I need to find a doctor. I haven't seen a doctor since I moved here from NY in March 2014 except for going to MD360 when I had the flu then pneumonia last winter.

Must haves ... English as first language
Taking new patients immed. (my fiancé just changed drs. & it took 6 mos for appointment)
Board Certified / No Sanctions
Listens without interruption
Fully answers and explains questions and diagnosis
Medical degree is from a continental US state

Must Not Haves .... Nothing in particular is off the table, lol

Preferences ... Newer office technology such as patient portals and email availability
Short / reasonable waiting room time
same day sick appointments, 1-2 week availability for well appointments
on-site lab / x-ray / basic specialists
St. Francis Eastside affiliation
near Verdae Woodruff area or Laurens Butler area as I don't do much driving these days
Prefer not to be the only patient under 65 (I am a 42 yr old woman)
occasional late or weekend hour availability

I know it is a lot to ask, but I figured there has to be at least one or two people on here that are also on Medicare that are hopefully happy with their doctors. Thank you in advance.

Try Center for Adult and Family Medicine,305 Tanner Road, 627-1220. I believe Dr. James Rousseau is accepting new patients. I believe they meet most of your requirements. They are a little further from your desired area, but, not too far off. Best wishes!
