I'm planning on buying a house around 225k in the Greenville area. Where can I get best bang for my buck, and ideally a location/home that will appreciate in value?
Must have:
Safe area, I am a single professional lady & this is very important to me
Preferences:
I am very active so closer to Mountain access is ideal, aka NW areas.
I do not want to be in the downtown area or areas that are heavy with traffic.
Close to Swamp Rabbit & Paris Mtn would be great.
Close to a good gym.
I'm self employed so work is not an issue.
I appreciate insights and advice.

yes, anywhere near downtown TR/adjacent to SRT - unfortunately, I'm unfamiliar re home prices in DT TR/near SRT - however, real estate is on fire near/in DT Greenville - generally, the Upstate of SC is high demand, esp in quality public school districts
Travelers Rest. There is a some construction in TR that is right in your price range. And TR is very much up and coming, so home values should increase.
In addition to TR, try Pebble Creek or Edwards Forest areas. Near Paris Mtn, a little further to SRT but better shopping and restaurants and schools IMHO. This helps value increase too.
Ah yes- Pebble Creedk- there is a lovely home available there for $209K.
