Just attended tonight's (Saturday's) delightful Holiday at Peace concert. It was more than worth the price of admission as always. I can't think of a single annual event in Greenville that better awakens the Christmas/holiday spirit than this one. This year's signature guest is Jodi Benson, also known as the voice of "Ariel" in Walt Disney's 'The Little Mermaid'. As is common among travelling star performers upon arrival in Greenville, she raved about our town and symphony orchestra in a very sincere manner. This week was her first time in Greenville and she brought her husband, children, mother, and friends to town for the show. Afterwards, she and Maestro Edvard Tchivzhel greeted the audience and signed various items for sale in the lobby. I highly recommend attending the final performance on Sunday afternoon (today!), if you are able.

Sort of unexpectedly, hubby and I will not be traveling for Christmas. Besides the usual hotels (Hilton, Embassy Suites, etc) are there any nice restaurants open for a special Christmas Day dinner? Not looking for Chinese, etc. Preferably something cozy and/or with atmosphere.

I'll, again, nominate my favorite -- High Cotton. No sure they're open but they are awesome!
