Any updates on what exactly is going in this building next to Cheddar's? I haven't heard much about it but construction seems to be getting into the finishing stages. From what I can tell looking at the building, there aren't any more than two or three possible entrances into the actual building. I'm stumped... I drove around the area a bit today on my lunch break and didn't see any kind of "Coming Soon" signage.

National sleep store, upscale therapeutic massage establishment, and real estate office. Exciting eh?

Academy Sports for 3423 Clemson Blvd. in Anderson. Construction bids go out May 11th.
Located in North Hills Center, Academy Sports & Outdoors will likely demolish the former Circuit City and Books-a-Million to open a larger store between Office Depot and TJ Maxx.

Seriously??? Could you tell me where you heard that from? If that's true this is GREAT news. I'd feel so relieved that those sad, empty shells will turn into a good economic booster.

I'm still sad that Books A Million moved to the mall...it just isn't the same...there's none of the actual somewhat comfy chairs to sit in, the Joe Mugs is smaller, and the selection seems slightly smaller. Of course, now that they're in the mall I wouldn't want them to leave now as that'd only serve to hurt the mall. I'd love it if they would build a Barnes & Nobel in downtown or on the southwest side.

Barnes & Noble would be an excellent addition to Anderson. Ditto for The Fresh Market.

Southwest Anderson is still a few years away from better retail.

As much as I like the food at his restaurants I wish someone else would step up to run more high end dining in Greenville. Oh well at least overlook will have better food now.
