Did a little more mowing but it's still to wet so I'll wait until later. It is beautiful weather!

Indeed, I feel better already.

On the plus from me: I met a new friend at the Senior Center via common interest in dogs, dogs help make friends; visited the shelter this morning and got my uplift from the joy Lola shows on my arrival; have a bereavement session tonight at the Cancer Center, I have close and long contact with all members (each has to be approved, not open to public); Jasper (my dog) and I will have dinner with friends following the bereavement meeting.

That said, Cyn's upbeat kick-off this morning helps too.

It's a good day! Jerry enjoy your meeting tonight. And enjoy that bundle or love Lola!
My girlfriend called and we are meeting at the "Tree-house" for dinner tonight. I figured I deserve a nice dinner after mowing and selling a few items in the garage today!

Had a lovely simple dinner--good old BLT but it was a really good one. Everything in that restaurant is great! Enjoyed chatting with my girlfriend. Still having trouble sleeping--I'm guessing not only the time change but it's so much warmer now. My body is still adjusting! Looks like another beautiful day. I work tonight but the good thing is with the time change it won't seem like it is that late! Hope everyone has a blessed day!

I have been enjoying just plain Tomato Sandwiches.....bread (toasted or not) lots of Dukes Mayonaise and pepper....delicous and they get better and better as summer comes in.....I am hoping for "home grown tomatoes" from my garden this year. They are a challenge in my part of FL.....but going to try. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0C4FOL1qIw

How about fried green tomatoes? Jersey is known for its tomatoes and I am usually late planting so I have lots of green tomatoes when the frist frost comes.

On mowing, I have about 3 acres that I mow, some is field grass and weeds, about 1 acre gets lawn treatment - still lots of weeds. I have a 46" mower on a tractor, and in general find mowing relaxing, unless it is 90 + degrees, then nothing outside is enjoyable other than being in cool water, in the shade.

Now I am down south.....I do make fried green tomatoes and enjoy (not love) them. But my fondest memories of childhood was my mother making *****lilly and chow chow out of the pails and baskets and tubs of green tomatoes after the first frost. The spicy smell from the kitchen was wonderful and then the shelves in cellar were filled with a years supply of summer tastes to last thru the long winter. Those spicy concoctions were great with home made baked beans.....with franks.....with meat loaf...left overs...what ever.
