Hey all,

I just moved to Newport News from Boston and one thing I loved about Boston was that I could leave my house on foot, walk down the road, and there were tons of little shops, and there was pretty much everything I needed, and lots of people walking around. Does anyone know of any good places around the area to go walking around? I'm hoping to find a place on the Hampton side of the water; I'd prefer not to have to cross over to the beach side.

JD

Newport News City Center is about all I canthink of..

For walkability you would love Norfolk's Ghent, Downtown, and Freemason neighborhoods.. But obviously that's across the harbor.
