I need a LOT of bubble wrap for our upcoming move to the mainland, is there anywhere on the island I can find it in bulk. Uhaul online had 150 ft for $20, I am going to check to see if it is the same price when I actually go there. Anywhere else I should be looking??
Thanks

Which island are you on? Instead of trying to buy packing materials is there anyone who would have a lot of the stuff left over and not want it anymore? I used to know some folks who worked in a warehouse, they hated those packing peanuts and eventually made a huge hanging bag to put them all in so they'd be able to reuse the silly things. They seemed to get great joy out of mailing them away to other people.

Sometimes on Craig's List there is packing boxes for free, perhaps bubble wrap will be there, too.

I am on Oahu, I have a ton of boxes and packing paper thanks to craigslist and some military friends. I have posted a want ad for bubble wrap and old blankets but haven't gotten any responses yet. We have a zillion pictures and I wanted them in bubble wrap, I know in the past the military just uses paper but since we are doing it ourselves I want it extra protected.
Thanks

There used to be a place in Kalihi near Waikamilo about a block makai of Bob's BBQ that sold packing supplies. I forget the name, though. Have you tried looking at industrial supply places in the phone book? Warehouser is closed now but someone on Oahu must buy the stuff in bulk and they have to get it from somewhere.

I've bought bubble wrap at office supply stores, but the price is about the same as UHaul. (Not cheap.) I'd give you some of mine were you on Maui. I never throw it out, have a big drawer full. I also save those horrid packing peanuts and any time a guest needs to take something fragile back to the mainland, I offload as many on them as I can.

Able Distributors in Pearl City use to deliver to the airport for rush orders on bulk packaging needs and seem to have what ever is needed on hand. They are wholesale so they may not sell direct to a single customer, but give them a try.

Oh yeah, its been a year or so since I personaly had to call them so not sure if they are still around or if they merged with someone else.

Some of the recent transplants to Hawaii (Oahu) should be happy to have you help them unpack and take their packing material away for free... Look around on the forum for people moving to Oahu and ask them.

Default Bubble Wrap

We bought rolls at Walmart. You might also check Costco.
