So when one has high blood pressure are you not supposed to treat clogged sinuses until it becomes a full blown infection?? There aren't any over-the-counter medications that are deemed "safe" except for Coricidin HBP which does not decongest despite two separate pharmacists telling me that's what I needed..
Have you tried flushing them out? They sell those kits at the drug store and it feels SO good once you get use to it! Plenty of "how to" video's on You Tube.
Take a long shower or just steam up the bathroom a couple times a day. It will help. Personally I ignore the warning and take it anyway because without I'd be miserable.
My mom has HBP and her docotr said it was ok to take Mucinex. She is taking it now and her sinuses are clearer and she can breath better. One pill lasts 12 hours.

I can't say enough good things about Mucinex and I have HBP. If that is not enough I also have a prescription nasal spray for when my allergies are real bad.
I also am a believer in vicks on the chest and back.
Saline nasal wash in the shower is also a good thing in conjunction with the mucinex but you usually do not need to do that unless you have a cold......
Yeah I was talking to my mom when she said she was not feeling good and that her Dr. recommended the mucinex for patients with HBP. It's working great so far and she is on day 3 of using it.

I have been taking Mucinex-D for going on 30 years; at first it was a prescription which meant a trip to the doctor. That's gotten expensive so am glad it is OTC even if I have to show my ID to buy it. I take it 360 days of the year!
I never knew mucinex was a prescription at one time. Interesting.
