Your doctor can't recommend a pediatric neurologist? You can't go on the web and look up that kind of doctor in your city?

It seems like there must be more to this story. Of course, an injury like this will alert the authorities to possible child abuse, which, since you didn't seek medical care immediately, may bring child welfare to ask you alot of questions about the incident. Either you are very inexperienced as a parent or you must be hiding something. This just doesn't add up in my book.

Is it possible the injury wasn't from the injury 3 days prior? Is she in day care? Is there any chance something in addition to the prior fall happened? If the doctor feels the fall doesn't explain the injury maybe you should be looking at what else could have caused it.

Nice. Another unsupervised child. Judas Freaking Priest.

The OP likely does not live in the USA based on her use of terminology. Standards may be different where she is.

Yes he was unsupervised for the time I went to the bathroom. God forbid I didn't take him in there with me when I peed.

Having a heavy glass stocking holder within reach to pull down (the hung stocking and all) makes it sound like the house wasn't really baby-proof.

I moved them after that. The house was baby proof or so I thought, but I really didn't think he could reach it. Point being sometimes stuff happens. It's how you react afterwards that's important. I took him to the ER, and there was no issue. Clearly the doctors weren't worried because CPS was never called. Sometimes an accident is really just an accident.

Why didn't you take him with you? I suggest a bit more babyproofing for your home.

Why would I, and you know what I didn't the next time I went either. I just made sure the stocking holders were out of reach. He's 10 now, and he is a wonderful boy who makes the honor roll and has perfect attendance. Parents these days are seriously overprotective. There is no need to have your child in your line of sight all day inside the house. Outside is a different story.

Please, hang out in the Peds ER and then come back and say that.
