Only for awhile. THEN their tolerance super decreases. GENERALLY, maybe not ALL.

Pretty much a known fact.

Its not a drug, has no narcotic.
Its actually nutricious for the non alcoholic.
Ever see anyone with a crack belly?

It does not damage anyone, some people damage themselves with it.

I do not know how to respond. Shocking.

Here's one of many sources around the internet that say otherwise:

Once an addict repents and feels personal sorrow for what their choices have done themselves (and others), then healing can take place (spiritually and possibly physically). They'll make all the excuses in the world..."so and so left me, I had a bad childhood, etc., so I deserve to get drunk." Stupid. Disrespectful of their bodies which should be a vessel for the Holy Spirit.

God forgives though. There's always hope in that. But, if her spouse will not acknowledge this, she should leave.
The OP, nor anyone here, actually knows what's going on with her husband at this time.

The Sin Forum is <----- back thataway. You might revisit that judgment thing on your way over there, too.

Seems like mere semantics but there is a specific distinction.

When problem drinkers stop drinking the problem goes away.
When alcoholics stop the problem is just getting started.
Wow. Good post.

Um, no that is not right. It is a drug and a non-alcoholic can get addicted. Easier to quit than an alcoholic, as you talked about the difference in another post, but still it is habit forming and people build a tolerance and need more and more for the same effect.

I'm 5'8 at around 160 and very muscular, a moderate to social drinker and four beers would make me REALLY buzzed (assuming this is over a couple of hours and not six hours with little to no food).

I had a girlfriend that I am no longer friends with who would get absolutely WASTED over three or four drinks. Very loud, obnoxious, hanging on people, squealing, tall, muscular, about 150 at 5'9. I'm not talking buzzed but beyond that.

Turns out it was Xanex along with the drinking and sleeping pills.

Check the medicine cabinet.

Edited because I thought you said your DAD not your husband.
