Glad to hear that. I had both feet done at the same time about 20 years ago. There was some pain at first but it wasn't awful. I stopped taking the pain medication after a few days. I did rest it and keep my feet above my heart when I was resting. I was back to work, in an office, after a week and used a wheelchair to get around. I started driving my standard truck with clutch much sooner than I was supposed but I healed well.
I was also very fashionable wearing my Walmart bags over my feet when it rained or snowed, lol.
Good luck to her. As for me I am happy I did it. I no longer get that throbbing pain and stabbing feeling in the bunions. Oh and I'm not sure if this is the way it is still done but don't tell her about getting the pins taken out. It was quick but ouch, lol. At least she only has to do it once
