Glad to hear that. I had both feet done at the same time about 20 years ago. There was some pain at first but it wasn't awful. I stopped taking the pain medication after a few days. I did rest it and keep my feet above my heart when I was resting. I was back to work, in an office, after a week and used a wheelchair to get around. I started driving my standard truck with clutch much sooner than I was supposed but I healed well. I was also very fashionable wearing my Walmart bags over my feet when it rained or snowed, lol.

Good luck to her. As for me I am happy I did it. I no longer get that throbbing pain and stabbing feeling in the bunions. Oh and I'm not sure if this is the way it is still done but don't tell her about getting the pins taken out. It was quick but ouch, lol. At least she only has to do it once

She didn't get any pins there are staples and plates some wire the doctor explained not sure about removing it seems like people get screws removed rubs on the skin inside what a co-worker of mine did. She has paid STD from work for 8 weeks so no need to rush back to work the boot they gave her seems to work fine for walking they told her to leave it on for 8 weeks while walking risk fracturing the bones that were cut before they heel up.

Sounds like she has plenty of time to heal. Each day will get better.
