So for about a month, I've been having consistent diarrhea, usually twice a day. It happens in the morning and then in the evening. The color is usually brown or tan.
I'm in my early 40's, never had a colonoscopy yet. There's no history of cancer in my family so I don't think it's that but ya never know....
I'm just nervous going to the doctor getting it checked out.

And yet, I think you know that's what you have to do. Diarrhea for A MONTH? Call your doctor.
What, if anything, have you done or taken to try to control this? I'd suggest some Pepto Bismol. Give it a try for a couple of days and see what happens.
It could be caused by many things. Covid comes to mind, but there are many other things too. I wouldn't necessarily think about colon cancer as the cause although I suppose that's possible.
BTW, I'm not a doctor and didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so take the advice for what it's worth.

I already had COVID back in December. After 10 days in quarantine, I was fine. It started happening a few weeks afterwards.

Does it happen about 15 minutes after you eat? That was happening to me for a good while, my doctor thought it was a medication side effect, but it turned out that I had developed allergies to some of the foods I ate all the time.

yes, go to the doctor.
yes, you might have some food allergies. try having no dairy (no milk, cheese, yogurt, butter) for a couple weeks, see if that helps.
also get your teeth and gums checked. there is a direct connection between the health of the gut, and the health of the teeth and gums. it works both ways. unhealthy gut can make your teeth and gums worse and more susceptible to infection and decay. and vice versa, tooth decay and gum disease can show up as unhealthy gut.
Sounds like either rectal or stomach cancer. Not good.
