Hey guys, just curious to see which areas are infested with people that have a dip in their mouths. I kinda wanna break the stereotype I have that all the "southern" states are the places where Chew is popular.
I dont know a single person here (Los Angeles) who chews. I dont think Ive ever even ran into anyone here who chews tobacco. I did have an aunt from another state (Louisiana I think) who chewed but I was really young.
In fact, I dont know even know of anyone who smokes.

Same here I don't think Ihave ever actually seen anyon chew tabaccoo. I couldn't even imagine the taste? Yuck!
Not in the south...chew crazy up here. Yuck...And I don't know WHY any girl would chew..I have seen that and I don't know..it just looks much worse on a woman than a man..egh. Almost makes me want to talk them into smoking instead.
They do it a lot here in Kentucky. Always have their nasty little spit jar in one hand about half full of swill. I don't know why they don,t use a non see thru bottle. Also one time a guy in highschool accidentally took a big drink from his beer can but grabbed the spit can instead and I puked as much as he did.
Oh yes, plenty, plenty of people dip/chew in Louisiana (at least outside of NO). I guess after a while no one notices. But it does seem like a nasty habit with those spit cups and all. Smoking, though, is even nastier to me, although that is the habit I have. Tried to dip but I don't care much for it.
I'm in Michigan (Ann Arbor) and I've only met two guys who chewed; no women. Most smokers I've come across seem to be from out of state, usually the south (I work at a hotel). The smokers on campus are typically foreign-Asian or Middle Eastern men, never the women. I haven't met many locals who smoke (most people here are really into organic foods/bike-riding/healthy living in general).
