I live in Washington State, I have Ankylosing Spondylitis, very severe Arthritis with Osteo- Arthritis also.
Don't move here, if you have sever arthritis. I tell you it's beautiful here in the summer but the humidy level is very high all the time.... But is a pretty green state.
It's alway's raining and it gets cold Year Round temperture drops low.
This is the only state I know of that can have 4-seasons in one day.... No joke! I have been here since the sixties.
Let's put it this way... Washintonians don't tan...they rust! from all that rain, my joints always hurt.
I have lived stayed other places Arizona- California- Mexico- Desert Area I have always felt like a kid again I move so much better there and I need to move there pernamently soon. Waiting for my last child to finish high school and would like to find a great college for her in a warmer climate. The only thing is they do have a great Nursing program here, but I told her they have other nursing schools in the those areas also, just got to be.
So I see someone mention Florida is there certain parts that are not so humid? But then I heard the humidy not as bad there because it's different because of always being warm not like the humidty here from the rains and trees.?
Anyone from Florida have any in-put?
I haven't lived in FL but have visited many times as my daughter used to live there. Bad humidity unless you are right on the ocean/gulf and there's a breeze. If no wind, bad humidity there, also. I currently live near Dallas and the average humidity is around 40-50%. Since I used to live in New Orleans, this is nothing to me! It is warm (or hotter than He!! at times) about 7 months out of the year.

Have you tried taking GNC Brand Triple Strength Fish Oil? It really helps control the arthritis and I highly recommend to anyone with OA

Thanks for your reply, My sister is moving soon to SugarLand Tx. Her son lives in Katy now. My Sis wants me to go with her when she moves, I heard humidity gets high there also. But, you mention 50 to 60 humidity,,,50 not to bad when it starts getting any higher than that I get really stiff, better than humidity here, 80's or higher.
Thank you for your in-put where near Dallas do you live?
I moved from Chicago to South Carolina five years ago. SC is definitely an improvement in the weather, though it does get humid here and is often damp for days on end and cold in the winter and due to lack of insulation in the homes, living on a concrete slab, etc.
I suffer less but still suffer. I agree that dry heat may be better, but I could never live in the Southwest. I spent two weeks in New Mexico a couple of different times. My skin shriveled up and made me look ancient, and my eyes watered the entire time I was there. Florida's too humid for too long a period. At least we get long periods of nice weather and lower humidity than Florida. I'll stay where I'm at and be glad I'm not still up north.
