I admit I pick my scabs...and warts, whatever lands on me. lol And my cuticles. I used to get severe sunburns as a child and peel my skin off after the blisters. I once peeled so much, i started to bleed. I of course quit peeling my sunburns too much after that.
You'd think I'd grow up by now, being an adult, but I still pick. I also twirl my hair.
The formation of a scab is part of the body's healing process.
The scab protects and keeps the damaged tissue sterile while healing proceeds.
Why would anyone in their right mind want to interfere with that by removing the scab?
Is it just me,but do you get a scar whenever you have an injury on the skin? So,I guess if you don't pick the scab,then the scar would be just lighter and smaller,but am I wrong?
