only if you care to read it though,ok? Some people don't want to know anything about the test-just results-right? Which is cool; whatever best suits you.
I hope this clears up because as I said before, I had it for awhile. It is no picnic.
Great! I read the main part, thank you. I hope I can get my doc to do this. Interesting site. I'm reading some other stuff on it now. Thank you.

you might want to consider a chiropractor. I had vertigo really bad a couple years ago..it lasted almost 6 wks. the first few days were the worst. I went to the chiropractor. He manipulated my head, and adjusted my neck! what a difference. It steadily improved. Now it happens every now and then, and I go right away for an adjustment and it clears right up. I know that there is some type of physical therapy that you can go to as well. You could check that out with a doctor.

I had vertigo for about three months. Went to an ENT/Audiologist, found I had 45% hearing loss in both ears. Was fitted for hearing aids. That was 25 years ago. Voila, vertigo gone, life is good!

oh man, i feel for you! Vertigo is misery. I woke up w/it one day, totally out of the blue and was so off i couldnt even walk to the bathroom..took me about 5min. to crawl slowly . Mine too, lasted about 3 weeks, they never figured out why i had it, tried taking the phenergan for nausea, but it about put me to sleep, so i had to make a choice each day. I coach gymnastics and there was no catching/spotting kids for me for a few weeks! lucky for me, I ws able to sit w/my back against something and verbally coach, and life was good cuz i live close enough to work I could walk, so no driving. but i know how miserable you must be. And i agree, i had people making comments and looking at me czu they thought i was drunk (yeah, while working w/kids! that went over well...) and it gets tiresome not only dealing w/it, but with explaining over and over too.
I hope they figure it out soon for you on why, and that it clears up quickly. Til then, be careful!!

Aw, man, I feel for you! I had Vertigo last year due to a deep inner ear infection. Put me OUT, flat on my back with bed spins for a week. It sucks.
My cousin has Meniere's disease and he gets vertigo periodically that comes and goes and he can sort of function with it....have you had that ruled out yet with your Doc.?

I had it off and on for almost 6 years, it would come and go. Mine was a side effect of Lipitor.. Haven't had it since I quit taking the stuff.

That sounds like the head manipulations the ENT gave me to do. They don't work anymore. They did for the first two years. I saw a chiropractor for a few sessions and that did nothing.

I had no idea hearing loss could give you vertigo.

That's how my first one was, I couldn't even sit up. Just moving my eyes laying down made the room look like it was whirling violently. I'm not that bad now, just bad enough to look like I'm drunk when I walk, except when I turn my head too fast or bend over, then the room whirls again.

I haven't had anything ruled out yet but an infection. No pain involved either. The phenergan does make me real sleepy but I can't take the nausea. It's gonna be a long week if it hangs on til my appt. Thank you all for your input. I'm sorry anyone has to deal with this but at the same time, it feels good to know that others know how it feels.

Thank you for the info. I should've checked back here sooner. This is something I've checked into.

Had a doc appt this week and he's setting me up with a neurologist since the ENT didn't have any answers, the maneuvers haven't worked and 3+ weeks later, it's still going on with one, two, three days of relief then starting up again.

You need to see a Neurotologist. They specialize in Dizziness and Inner Ear Disorders. Skip the ENT and go to the specialist. I was diagnosed with labrynthitis over a year ago and still have constant head issues and dizziness. My Neurotologist has been great.
