Let's see. You did nothing to distinguish yourself, was convicted of a misdemeanor, and then did nothing to distinguish yourself. Hmmm.

You have scoped him out. Because of "Inherit The Wind", very few folks seem aware that the entire Monkey Trial was a publicity stunt dreamed up by folks in Dayton to grab some tourist bucks.

I am an Emmy winner, widely known by my unusual nickname, which is a form of one of my four middle names, given me at birth by my illustrious parents, both of whom were figures of national importance in Washington. My face and my name are well-known, but many are unaware of my connection with my parents, who gained much of their fame in a way that I wish had never happened. I also have a sister, Barbara, who was once mayor of an Ivy League college town and was an unsuccessful candidate for the US Senate.

I was a revolutionary in my nation's war for independence and I went on to become the first president of my nation, changing my name upon assuming office. There is a town in a neighboring nation named for me, using that new name that I chose. I ended slavery, founded a military college and put down a revolt by insurgents within my own government. Unlike many who came after me, I finished out my term before leaving office.

That's right. Felixburg, Texas is named for him.

I was a 19th century figure who honored allegiance to three different countries in my lifetime, although I traveled relatively little. I was a military officer, a politician, and a rancher, who barely traveled more than 150 miles from my place of birth. To protest against my office, one of the most enduring symbols of the era was created, which was made famous worldwide a century later by a famed novelist. I wound up being arrested by the drunken rebels, but later joined them in a very successful solidarity. One of the cities in the area was named for me.
