Gotta share the reputation, so I'm replying instead!!!
Ditto! Points well made by hameltoe and dkf747.
If Steve-o didn't spend so much time trying to bait people, he might have recognized my post for what it was- a compliment, albeit a small one, but a compliment nonetheless about the passion that the Hawks brought to the last two games of the regular season.
Been a long time since the Hawks mattered in hockey and I'm glad their back. Not only good for Chicago, but great for the sport. Its an original six city, and a huge media market. Having good teams in Chicago, New York and Beantown is good for the health of the league. Especially if those teams can play up and down style...hopefully they get a TV contract with more exposure than VS.
Go Hawks!!! I was pulling for the Ducks in their series but for the added exposure it wouldn't be awful if their opponent won. The UC would explode.
well i have to give the hawks props for taking the canucks out i guess we did not want it as bad
After seeing who's in the final four. I hope the Hawks win. i didn't think they could do it. But if they beat the Red Wings they got it. Pens i rooted for em against Ovechkin but i still don't favor em, and the Canes should've been knocked out first round.

Good overall game tonight. Some bad calls that helped the Wings out (especially the call against Byfuglien for "goalie interferance"??? He was pushed by Kronwall, the bastard), but a bad turnover led to a 3 on 1 for the Wings and they capitalized. Solid goaltending by both goalies tonight.
So we head to Chicago for the next 2, only hopin we can even it up. Doubtful, but Im still dreamin.

Hold your horses. It IS the Playoffs... Anything can happen...
detroit is a formidable club but Osgood seems to be facing 35-40 shots per game a lot lately, almost unheard of in the past.Maybe the Hawks can find some holes.
The Hawks played well last night. The Wings were tired, but still managed to win. The scoring drought of Detroits "stars" is getting frustrating. The series is not over, but I don't see Detroit losing 4 of the next 5.
As with all my NHL posts, I will preface this with, "I know jack about hockey but..." a 2-0 series deficit is overcomable in the NHL. I know several professional gamblers that steer clear of the NHL when it comes to betting, strictly due to the high level of variance in the sport. Anything can happen in a playoff series and when it comes to handicapping one game, forget it.
Detroit may win but noone here can claim its a lock.
As a Chicago guy, I'm happy the hawks made it this far, and they seem to have a young core in place.
