Hey everyone,

I'm renovating my family room. I just bought the house this past year, and the family room was this horrible painted wood paneled disaster, with horrific carpeting, popcorn ceilings, and dated brass fan/chandelier lighting. It was very dark and depressing in that room.

So I've decided to renovate it.

But here's the problem...

I've already done most of the work. In fact, it should be finished within the next week or so. But half the fun of these renovation threads is following the work as it goes along. If I just toss up all the pics at once, then there won't be any of the enjoyment that accompanies the anticipation of the next update.

Should I just post one picture per day? Maybe we can pretend that the work was done in between each update????

Oh boy, painted paneling, my mother had hers painted pink, not so great looking. I inherited a mobile home, all paneling, we mudded it, sanded and textured, did improve the look..somewhat....ok, looking forward to seeing what you did..post away.

Here's a nice fun panorama of the room at the beginning of the remodel. I started to rip down some of that precious, stylish wood paneling.

And here's another pic after some of the paneling was removed. Also, please note the awesome brass chandelier. I'm open to offers on the exquisite piece, but I would imagine it's worth at least $5000.
