About 50% of the time my GeniePro Model Pro 951C/A garage door fails to close completely and stops about 8 inches above the floor.

I have tried adjusting the control up and screw buttons several times but keep getting the same results.

What should I do? Is it time to call in a professional?

have you made sure the safety lights (each mounted at base of each side of garage door opening) are on straight and aligned with eachother?

Check for cobwebs - I've had a leaf dangling from a cobweb that triggers the safety.

Try resetting the unit, its really simple.

Unplug the power cord to the head and wait 1 minute then plug it back in.

My garage door sometimes won't close and I found wriggling the safety light wire makes it work again. I'm sure there is a more permanent solution but I'm not that handy. The receiving side needs to have a green light - so I wriggle the sending side until the green light appears.
