I wouldn't necessarily call it "celebrating" but I spend time in September (as my anniversary move-in date approaches) reflecting back on all that it took to get into my home, all I've accomplished since and how I've made it my castle. It's far from my dream home with a great layout in a great neighborhood...but it's my accomplishment that I want to acknowledge.
Different people celebrate different events in their lives for different religious, cultural, societal or other reasons. Buying my home was a big deal to me, so I am going to take time to reflect on it....and also, look forward to what I can do next to make my castle even more comfy.
