Hi. I'm remodeling a 25 yr old kitchen and my contractor uses timberlake cabinets but I'm reading very poor reviews and now I'm confused. I haven't signed a contract yet so I can make changes. What is the best cabinet company to go with? I have a loose budget, I just want it done right and am willing to pay for it. Help, I'm so confused....

I can't say it's the best, but we have Merillats. Been working fine for 24 years with no problem, and their new line looks just as good

We put in Thomasville cabinets when we remodeled our kitchen and they were wonderful. I had them 10 years and sold the house because we moved. The new owner said the kitchen was one of the big reasons she bought the house.
Best of luck!

Have you thought about going with a local custom cabinet maker? Custom can be surprisingly affordable and you get exactly what you want, with no fillers.

We have Kraftmaid. I have 2 complaints about them. We have one cabinet that the shelf pulls out-which I like but if the shelf isn't pull all the way in before closing the door, it scrapes the inside of the door. Oh well. And my other complaint is I just wish that the cabinet that I have my glasses in was just about an inch bigger or so. My glasses would fit so much better if I had just a wee bit more space.

like I stated before I too have kraftmaid, they replaced exactly what I had before, and for some odd reason, i felt the older cabinets were just a tad wider inside the cabinets, yet its all the same, I know exactly what you mean, it just needs that smidgen more......
