I'm on Vacation and I left glade-plug ins in my apartment... should I be OK? Is there any sort of hazard?

I have a friend in California, about 6 years ago had a house burn down from defective plug-in. She had a lawsuit with them and won, they had to pay for everything and insurance got their money back from this company. I'd never trust them. It must not happen often or they'd be banned.

You know that lawsuits are a matter of public record, right?
When u get home trash them.
At the same time I got rid of all conventional candles too.
Too many times did I leave the house to come home to it lit, then beat myself up for it.
No toasters, hairdryers are left plugged in either.
Just lamps, and Stereo.
But you should be fine.

What is it in a toaster or hairdryer that can cause an electrical fire but not in a lamp or stereo?

It's more than questionable, it's an outright lie. There is no record of any court case in the state of California regarding a house fire caused by a plug-in.
